When babies are old enough to eat solids, it can be a challenge to figure out how to get them to actually ingest the food! Some are fussy eaters, adding a layer of difficulty to this seemingly easy task. Most babies squirm, giggle, and occasionally throw tantrums, leaving your kitchen covered in mashed peas and rice—not the easiest things to clean off the walls, believe us. So what’s your parental secret? Do you make a game of it, encouraging them to interact with each new and interesting ingredient? Or do you play that old tried and true favorite feeding game, “Airplane,” and pretend each spoonful is a plane flying into the hangar?
