Wow...I cannot image my life as a mother of 4 young children without Baby Einstein. It brings tears to my eyes to think anyone could think or believe this was a harmful product. Baby Mozart got my now 10 year old through some very rough spells...the only thing that would soothe him was the video. Think of all the home cooked meals, that would have never been made if Baby McDonald wasn't around to occupy my now 4 year old son. And my 2 1/2 year old just watch Neighborhood Places tonight while I led my 7 year old daughter's Brownie meeting. Plus Baby Lullaby (or baby sheep as she calls it) got us through colic spells and many sleepless nights. She also has a medical condition and would not have made it through several hospital stays had it not been for Baby Neptune. I love and adore Baby Einstein products, from the videos/dvd/cd's, books and toys. You can find one of their products in every room in my house! Keep up the great work!

Hi, I can not believe all the comments that are going on in the media about this wonderful product. We are Baby Einstein fans and we have used the products for both of our children, now 4 and 6. I agree with other commentators in that I am guilty of letting my children watch such amazing, real life, videos. I am an educator that takes my children and other issues very seriously. I, however, believe that these videos are very educational and instructional. From a therapeutic perspective, we are faced everyday with cases of child neglect and abuse. We have parents that claim to spend endless hours of quality time with their children but all with a consequence to their own children. This consequence is frustration which leads to anger, yelling, and many times negative ways of punishment because of parent's inability to cope with the daily stressors of having children. So my question to many is to ask yourselves, is the time that you spend with your children really quality time every single minute of the day. For those that are dictating as to what is good parenting, I have less respect for those that claim not to turn on the television all day and by the end of the day they are yelling at their children. As a family we enjoyed these videos and watched them together and opened up a world of discussion. This company never claimed to make babies geniuses but they have done an amazing job in providing educational material that is mind stimulating and fun. I am appalled at the allegations and hope that many other parents speak up. Thank you Baby Einstein for all the years of fun, education, and entertainment. We love you!!

I may not be a mother of little children ( I home schooled my three daughters into college), but I stand by your product. I have used the videos in my home based childcare center and given numerous away as gifts.
The videos are more than (even though a great asset)babysitters because the children in my care learned a lot. From infant and up the basics of education was easy to teach with the color videos and music. The best thing is the concepts can be reinforced through out the day. I totally agree with the post above, interaction with the child seems natural with a little 'push' from the videos. I have never agreed with the idea of no television for children because knowledge is learned from many different vehicles. Even books can be seen as stunting mental growth because if no one interacts with the child with the book, they only learn to flick and tear the pages. I love the Baby Einstein system.

I too was annoyed by the news. I LOVE Baby Einstein videos. My twins who are now 5 loved them and although I never expected that they would make them geniuses they are very smart kids and according to their teacher one of the more advanced kids in their kindergarten class. My 8 month old baby also is loving his hand me down videos as well. I will always be a fan of baby einstein videos!

Hi I just wanted to let you know that I am aggravated by the news, too. The intent of the Baby Einstein videos has never been to "make your child a genius", it is only for entertainment purposes and anyone that thinks or believes that the purpose of the videos have been to make your child smarter,oh,boy! you are so wrong.I love the videos and the Cd's because they provide entertainment to my children not because they are going to make them smarter, I mean if you watched the videos ,they even encourage parents to interact with the children not to sit them down in front of the TV and just let the magic happens!!! Ridiculous as the lady who started it all. Regardless what pediatricians say about not showing children under 2 TV,all I have to say is " Common! if you can come to my home and help me with my 30 minutes meals for dinner,I'll be really thankful" I am not trying to justify it because I am responsable for my own children and I made the decision to have them but I am just saying that I acknowledge that I am guilty of doing what I am not "supposed" to do but I guess I am not the only one, but comparing those 30 minutes with the whole day of fun and learning we have at home then I am guilty but I don't regret it because as long I can keep my children happy and safe nothing else matters to me, keep up with the great job everyone at Baby Einstein!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I support your products and I am also annoyed by the news!!! Thank you Baby Einstein for all these years of entertainment and fun!!! THANK YOU!!! :):)
