Yesterday, the Obamas invited young musicians to the White House for a day of classical music appreciation. During a speech to the attendees, President Obama said that classical music is “lifting hearts and spurring imaginations” all across the nation – something Baby Einstein couldn’t agree with more.
After two concerts and a series of workshops, Michelle Obama thanked the young musicians for their tireless dedication to music. We agree with the First Family that music should be celebrated for the important role it plays in our lives, including its ability to entertain and help imagination soar.
At Baby Einstein, we feel it’s important to spark a lifelong appreciation for classical music at a very young age and that’s why everything we do has music at its core. We’re so thrilled the Obamas are sharing music with America’s youth and encourage parents to incorporate the sounds of music into their time with baby.

Last month, we released the second edition to the Baby Einstein World Music series, the World Animal Adventure DVD. This visually and aurally appealing video debuts adorable and interesting animals (Asian pandas and Australian kangaroos—oh my!) from all 7 continents, interacting with their natural environments. With ethnic music as interpreted by the Music Box Orchestra, this DVD is highly engaging. We continue to make our products even more interactive—the DVD’s “Grow With Me” section offers more words for parents to try out with their children and the “Select-A-Segment” section allows parents to really customize their Baby Einstein experience.

Have you signed up for our Baby Einstein Parents Panel? We really can’t recommend it highly enough! When you sign up, you participate in surveys that help us develop our products with the needs of families in mind. You can also hang out on our Parent’s Forum and discuss parenting issues with other members of our active community. And the best part is, your participation in our surveys qualifies you for a chance to win Baby Einstein products. We think it’s a pretty sweet deal! So come join us—we’d love to hear your opinions!

Have you seen our newest books? Two new Baby Einstein board books hit the bookstores this past summer—I See Me and Let’s Go!
I See Me explores all the giggles and laughs that come when babies see their own reflections. The book takes them on a tour of their day while entertaining them with fun Mylar “mirrors.” This is an excellent goodnight read for your little one!
Let’s Go! is a padded baby book that takes your child on an adventure of all kinds of machines that move, such as cars and trains. We highly recommend this book for road trips!
